3 Important things to feel reassured about in a hypnotherapy session
      • You can never be made to disclose anything private or personal to you. You are always in control and never under anyone’s power; in fact you could easily get up and leave if you wanted to.
      • You are always aware of your surroundings e.g. the seat you are resting on, the sounds outside in the external environment as well as the sounds and movements of those that are close by you.
      • A hypnotherapy session is very much like a counselling session. The main difference between the two is the ability and skill of the hypnotist to use guided imagery and supportive suggestions to assist the subconscious mind to create change.

3 Important things to know about a hypnotherapy session
      • Hypnosis is not a therapy in itself. It is a focused mind state that you naturally drift in and out of at different times throughout your day depending on where you are focusing your attention.
      • Hypnotherapy utilises your own hypnotic ability along with other counselling therapies to help encourage change. Rose uses solution focused processes as well as looking at how you use your thoughts with regard to your problem.
      • In most cases the first part of your appointment is based around learning more about you and your current situation. Where applicable new skills are taught along with relaxing breathing. The session finishes with deeper hypnotic trance work where Rose skilfully guides you into a focused mind state so that you can begin to create new helpful thought patterns in your subconscious mind to help you feel better now.
